Manchester United want to recoup the £12.9million they paid for Cristiano Ronaldo last year should he be sold.
Ronaldo wants to leave the club just over 10 months after his arrival as he wants to continue playing in the Champions League.
United insist Ronaldo is not for sale but The Times claim he would accept suitable offers. It remains to be seen if anyone is willing to take over his salary, which is around £500,000 a week.
Danjum to West Ham ‘not close’
A key in the works of West Ham’s bid to sign Arnaut Danjum.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the former Bournemouth man is unlikely to leave Villarreal anytime soon.
However, Villarreal are already eyeing replacements with Umar Sadiq as their target.
Carvalho unveiled by Liverpool
Fabio Carvalho, unsurprisingly, didn’t need much convincing to join Liverpool.
The 19-year-old has now officially completed his move from Fulham, having been unable to make the switch at the end of the January transfer window as medical and formal documents could not be concluded.

Pep warned United of Ronaldo transfer risk
Pep Guardiola appears to have predicted Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to leave Manchester United last year.
The 37-year-old returned to Old Trafford in a surprise move just over 10 months ago after feeling disappointed with life at Juventus, joining around £19million and a reported salary of over £500,000 £ per week.
Ronaldo now wants to leave United, should a satisfactory offer arrive, as he is unconvinced of the direction of the club and wants to play in the Champions League.
Before returning to United last summer, Manchester City explored a deal to sign Ronaldo. Amid speculation over the player’s future and his links to City, Guardiola insisted that Ronaldo is one of the very few players who can decide where to play any season.
