Daniel Ek not new to wanting to invest in Premier League club amid Arsenal bid
Daniel Ek has already considered investing in a Premier League club, as he tried to take control of Arsenal, according to the Guardian.
Many Gunners fans want Stan Kroenke to sell the club after the Super League debacle, which saw Arsenal sign up to join the Separatist League, which would have removed sporting merit from the image and some claim to represent a store closed.
The plans collapsed after heavy pressure from fans and the UK government, and Arsenal supporters staged protests to urge Kroenke to sell.
Spotify founder and CEO Ek has expressed interest in buying Arsenal and the Swede is ready to try to convince Kroenke to sell.
The offer for Arsenal is not the first time Ek has shown interest in investing money in a Premier League club, however.
It is claimed that Ek has already shown interest in investing in a Premier League side, although he never got past the early stages of a takeover.
As such, the idea of investing in a top-flight club is nothing new to Ek.
Ek involves Arsenal legends Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry in his bid to take control of Arsenal.
The Swede inquired over the weekend, but Kroenke is reportedly reluctant to sell.
